Antenna Setup

A basic valid antenna setup.

Before building an antenna, there are a few things you need to do to ensure that you can smoothly set one up (and not have to tear it down later).

Firstly, each transmitter or receiver will need to be placed in front of a core. This can be any metal block such as copper or iron, and different cores can have different effects on your antenna.

Once a core is placed, an antenna can be built on top of it, and the transmitters and receivers in front of it will use the antenna for reception/transmission.

Core Extension

A valid antenna setup using core extension.

If you don't like the placement of your transmitters/receivers next to the antenna, and would like to have them somewhere else separate from it, then worry not! Core extension allows you to make use of Insulators to extend where your antenna core is: by simply placing two insulators on each core block and wiring them together, each core block can now use the same antenna!
You must connect the core blocks using insulators! Do not wire the core to the transmitter/receiver!

Keep in mind that if you use core extension, the core block must also match.
